Privacy policy
The short version
LifeMap was designed so that we know as little about you as possible. There is no account, your LifeMap is stored on your iPhone, we keep no copy of it, and we never ask for your passwords. The only thing we receive is anonymous usage statistics that help us make the app better.
Your LifeMap stays with you
Everything you put into LifeMap is saved on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers and we have no way to read it. If you use an iPhone backup, your LifeMap is included in that backup under Apple's protections, in the same way as your other app data.
If you delete the app, your LifeMap on that device is deleted with it.
What we do collect
We collect anonymous usage statistics: for example, how often the app is opened and which screens are used. These numbers are aggregated, are not linked to you, and contain nothing you have written in your LifeMap. We use them for one purpose only: understanding what to improve.
What the app never collects
- The contents of your LifeMap.
- Your name, email address or any account details. The app never asks for them. If you choose to write to us, see If you write to us below.
- Passwords, of any kind, ever.
- Your location or your contacts.
- Anything for advertising. We show no ads and sell no data.
Sharing your LifeMap
Sharing is always your decision. When you share your LifeMap with someone you trust, it travels directly from you to them, not through a copy held by us. You can update what you share, or stop sharing, at any time.
If you write to us
This is about the website, not the app. If you email us, or use the form on the contact page, we receive your name, your email address and your message, because we need them to reply to you.
The contact form is carried by Web3Forms, a service that passes the message to our inbox so that this website needs no database of its own. We use what you send only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else.
Your choices
Because your information stays with you, staying in control is simple: everything can be edited or deleted inside the app, and deleting the app removes your LifeMap from that device. You can also opt out of anonymous statistics in the app's settings.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how LifeMap handles information, we will update this page and note the date at the top. The promise at the heart of it will not change: your LifeMap belongs to you.
